Radios manufactured by Ranger and sold under brands such as Connex, General Lee, Superstar, Texas Ranger, Galaxy, Ranger, and RCI may use traditional through-hole components. Because these components are installed using mechanical tooling and assembly processes, minor dimensional variations or tool-and-die marks may occasionally be present. These are normal manufacturing variations and do not affect the radio’s functionality, reliability, or performance.
Unlike modern radios that primarily use surface-mount technology (SMT) and automated robotic assembly, through-hole designs are often valued for their durability and serviceability. A radio’s performance depends on the quality of its components, assembly, testing, and final alignment—not solely on the type of components or assembly process used.
Minor cosmetic imperfections, such as light scratches, blemishes, or finish variations on the covers, bezels, faceplates, and other exterior parts, may also occur. These imperfections are cosmetic only and are commonly found on new radios straight out of the box. They do not affect the radio’s operation or performance.

Did a really nice job on the tune. It’s going to work really well with my setup.
